Introduction : Mobile Phone Tracker: Mobile Phone Tracker application is a tracking application with which you can control track the mobile phone Using this application we can have variety of tracking systems that are ideal for personal tracking, Child Tracking, Elderly Tracking or Business use like Vehicle Tracking, Fleet Management, Truck Tracking. GPS Mobile phones are primarily manufactured for GPS Navigation. i.e. They help you find your location or help you navigate to right location. But by installing an additional software on your phone from GPSintegrated.com you can convert your GPS Mobile Phone into GPS Tracking device. i.e. It will not only help you navigate but will also allow your Relatives/Office staff to Track your location. This is especially useful for Security & Business applications. Instead of using complex and costly GPS tracking devices you can convert your Mobile phone into a powerful tracking device. | 2. Pre-Requisites: To use this application and service, user should have a cell phone with: - Symbian OS S60 3rd Edition. User can check for device suitability from here

To view the logs and alerts generated by the applications, you can log-in in to www.gpsintegrated.com with user name and password provided by BioEnable Technologies. With this, you can view your location and logs on various maps like Google Earth or GMAP etc. along with many features like SOS, battery level alert or over speed alert etc. - User must register for himself / herself on www.gpsintegrated.com
While registering on the web site, user might asked for the phone details like IMEI number of the phone. User can get the IMEI of his/her phone by dialing short code *#06#. 4. If phone does not have internal GPS receiver, user need to have external GPS receiver. For details of external GPS receiver supported with this application, please refer the web site. 5. The SIM card should be activated for GPRS service if user opt for the option as Working Mode as GPRS only (to be discussed later in this document). | | |
| 3. Quick Start: 1) Install Mobile GPS Tracker_V3.0 on your mobile. To learn How to install Click Here
2) After Successful installation of application, its start runs in background with Default Settings. 3) To Enable Log sending through GPRS. Go To Options-->Settings-->GPRS Settings-->GPRS Data Sending--> 'Enable'. Also Check proper access point selected as per operator availability at the time of installation by Options-->Settings-->GPRS Settings-->APN-->'Mobile Office'. 4. How it Works?
This application is bundle with lot many features. It is developed to run on any Symbian OS S60 3rd Edition phones. It can automatically detect your GPS receiver even though your phone do not have internal GPS receiver. It automatically searches for Blue Tooth GPS receiver. Once the application started running, it starts sending data to the server using the configurable settings. To view the logs and alerts generated by the applications, you can log-in in to track.gpsintegrated.com with user name and password provided by BioEnable Technologies. By using the Dashboard of the site, you can view your location and logs on various maps like Google Earth or GMAP etc. along with many features like panic button pressed or not, battery level alert or over speed alert etc. | | |

5. Features: All the setting parameters can be set over SMS - All the setting parameters cane be set over SMS.
- Application can detect and generate alerts for battery level.
- If device is moving with over speed than allowed, application can detect and generate the over speed alerts.
- If somebody pressed Panic button (Cancel key- Red C key), application automatically dials the configurable Dial Out number along with sending the panic alert to the server.
- All the settings can be configurable over SMS. So remote management of the setting parameter is possible.
- Auto call pick up facility from our call centre calls or you can auto pick up all the incoming calls after configurable time in seconds.
- User can configure the communication type as wanted depending on the cost. It can send the data to the server through GPRS using UDP or TCP communication channel or using SMS/ Email.
- We can define the interval after which application should sent log to the server. To reduce the cost of data transfer, we can efficiently use this facility as this interval values are configurable and can be set remotely.
- We can get on request location update from the application by simply giving the missed call to the cell phone.
- Cell Based Tracking :- If Enabled, device will start sending one log once the Cell is changed, to the server.
- Distance based Tracking : - If option is enable, device will start sending one log once the particular distance is traveled, to the server. This distance in meters is specified in Trigger Settings.
- Location Name : Application will retrieve the current location of the device by requesting to the web service. The retrieved location can be seen on the application idle screen. The received location string can be played using Text to speech if required. The location can be retrieved from either Google or from our proprietary web service.
- Email: Application can send the emails containing the .kml file which can be opened on the Google Earth directly to see the last location of the device.
- Log file size is configurable to customize users need and available memory.
- See On Map: Using See on Map Feature you can see your last known location on Map.

| 6. Installation Procedure: You can request your copy of tracking application for your symbian phone at our web site: For detailed information and demonstration of HOW TO Request and DOWNLOAD the application, please visit http://gps-tracking.gpsintegrated.com/Products/MobilephoneSmartphoneTracking/DownloadMobileTracker.aspx Once you have downloaded the tracker.sis file on your PC, 1. Download the tracker.sis file on the mobile using Bluetooth or data cable provided with cell phone manufacturer.
2. Run the file by double –clicking the tracker.sis file (You can also use Nokia PC Suite for installing the application)
3. It will pop-up the Details, Certification windows. Please click on the Yes/ OK options as per instructed  
Please select ‘Yes’ to install the application. It will show you application details. Select continue for installation. 4. It will ask for Memory option for installing the application. Please select the appropriate memory. Remember that, all the logs (Online.txt - If memory logging enabled in Memory settings) will be stored on same memory. (Preferred Choice: Memory Card)  
5. After that it will ask you for accept license agreement Click ‘Ok’ to accept it. its shown in fig. Once the application is installed, At first time only it ask for Auto start application automatically on phone boot-up. Select ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ as per choice. If we select’ Yes’ application starts running with Default Settings.  
Then Make sure you have selected an Internet Access point in your phone connection settings as shown in following image. It will ask for access point selection then start executing automatically. Depending on the user’s phone setting for GPS receiver, Application finds the GPS receiver. If the phone is not having internal GPS receiver then, application starts searching for BT GPS receiver. Click on the More Device Option for BT search when it pops up. Following are some screen shot for the same. 
Select this BT GPS device. After selecting the device, it will ask you for the pass code. 
Please make sure you enter correct pass code which will be provided by BT GPS Receiver manufacturer. (Normally Default value is 0000). 
Clicked on OK button. Application will start taking GPS values from the BT GPS receiver. NOTE - Make sure the GPS has good visibility to the sky.

| 7. Settings: Once the application installed, Application is always running in background. Whenever you want to check / change the setting of the application, you need to open up the application. Go to the application icon in MenuàApplicationsàMy Own select Tracker application to open Click on ICON. OR Once the short Key option is Configured & set Enable in System settings We can do it by typing the short code on idle screen. (Default short code is “#*123”). 
For Evaluation version of application following pop-up displayed. 
If the application is not registered on www.gpsintegrated.com then application will expired & it will pop–up following message

If the device is registered , Click on Ok after that the application will ask for password (Default password is “ajt”). Enter your password and click on OK.  
If password is correctly entered, you will get following screen. Once you enter into the application, click on options on left hand bottom corner. It will give you following Menu option.

1] LogIn: -
With this feature, whatever the comment entered in to the text box provided, is communicated to the server along with current GPS coordinate.
 
2] LogOff:- Its same as LogIn Feature. With this feature, whatever the comment entered in to the text box provided, is communicated to the server along with current GPS coordinate

4] GPS
This option provided for Activate/Deactivate sleep using this shortcut option. The detailed about sleep & its setting explained in Sleep Mode Settings. 
 
This feature is enriching the application to have sleep mode on request. With this, one can make the running application TO SLEEP to save the Battery power and can again make it running when he/she again start the journey. i)Activate Sleep Mode ii)Deactivate sleep mode 
 5] Change Panic Button
This Option is provide for changing the Panic code. This Option contains two other option as Shown the following. 
Restore to Default
Restore to Default Panic Key ’Cancel Key : red C key’.’.  
i) Change To Number
This Option Provide to user to enter new Panic Button No. Please enter your new key in 5 seconds after pressing “Change to Number” option. After Updating Panic Button No This will give the Pop-up That Panic Button is updated.  
6] Change Password
This option is for changing the password of the application. Once you click on the “Change Password”, it will ask for old password and new password. Enter correct information and then OK to update the password setting.  
7] Change Short Key
This option is for changing the short code with which application can be get launched from the idle default screen of the cell phone. Once you click on the “Change short key “, it will ask for old short code and new short code. Enter correct information and then Ok to update the short code setting.  
8] See On Map
With this feature, one can see his/her last known location on Map. With this, one can easily find his/her location on Map and can helpful him/her to navigate to desired location.

This will Exit the application. To again start the application, either click on the Tracker ICON from the Menus of the phone Or In System SettingsàStart on Boot-Up is Enable then just restart the phone to start application.

01) BasePhone No. Setting: Base phone numbers: These are the Base station phone number setting options, from where we can control the setting’s parameters remotely. 
1] Base Phone No. one
This is SMS server no which is hidden from user, it used for set the setting’s parameters remotely.
2] Base Phone No. Two & Base Phone No. Three
This is same as Base phone number 1 but since it is user configurable, it will help end user to manage the application setting remotely. Apart from updating setting remotely, if application receive any SMS other than command from base phone numbers, it will be pop up the SMS content which will help to broadcast the ads, information related to NEW Features etc. For More info See.. 02) DialOut No. Setting Inside this menu, you will find one option of DialOut number. 
Dial Out No One is used, when user will press panic button (Red C button on idle screen), application will dial this number.
Please enter valid Dial Out No. Otherwise Following message will pop-up till we enter Valid no.

| 03) Activity Setting 1] Commands 
If command is enable, 1] We can change application settings remotely using Base Phone nos. 2] We can change application settings remotely also using any other no with Security ID only. 2] Security ID  
It is a sort of password for phone numbers other than the base phone number to change the setting parameters.
3] Auto Pick up Type
Application will pick up the incoming calls depending upon the settings in this menu.
 
4] Auto Pick up Call in sec
Application will pick up the call after these parameter setting value seconds.  
04) Alert Setting Inside this menu, you will find the options to configure the alert settings as 1] Low Battery
If the parameter is enabled, and if battery level is gone below the 20%, in every log sent to the server from the cell phone, low battery alert indicator is also communicated. If parameter is disabled, battery level will not be sent to the server. 
2] Panic Response
If feature option is Enabled here, and if you pressed panic button i.e. Cancel Key (‘C’ key )- application will automatically dial out the first dial out phone number from the dial out phone number list (DialOut Phone No One) along with sending Panic alert to the server over GPRS. 
3] Speed Check Whether we want Enable/Disable speed limit check feature, we can select it by this Option.  
4] Speed Limit:
If speed of device is exceed than the set parameter value (Speed Limit) for the duration of Speed check interval and if Speed Check is Enabled, speed alert is get generated and get sent to the server. If Speed Check option is disabled, this feature gets disabled.  
5] Speed Check duration This duration in seconds to check speed limit is exceeded for continuous that much seconds of time however we set in this settings.

| 05) Trigger Setting 1] Time Triggering
This setting kept Enable if we want log in timely manner.

2] GPRS Frequency in second
This is an interval, after which application will be sending the data to the server if working mode is using GPRS as mode of communication. If value is 30 seconds, after every 30 seconds application will be sending one log to the server if working mode is using GPRS as mode of communication.  
3] SMS Frequency in second
This is an interval, after which application will be sending the data to the server if working mode is using SMS as mode of communication. If value is 300 seconds, after every 300 seconds application will be sending one log to the server

4] Distance Triggering

If option is enabled, application will start sending one log once the particular distance is traveled, to the server. This distance in meters is specified in the following menu item. E.g here distance in meter 500 , so after every 500 meter one log will be send to server.
This Distance in meter which used for trigger GPS device On after set value of meter. e.g. in fig. distance set 100meter. | 6] Cell Triggering If option is enable, device will start sending one log once the Cell is changed, to the server. 
7] Cell Triggering Duration This time duration in seconds, After one GSM Cell change If device is present in that same GSM Cell for this particular time interval, then only it is consider as GSM Cell change is happened and then application will send one log to the server if Cell Triggering is Enabled.

| 06) GPRS Settings 1] GPRS Data Sending
This setting must be Enable if we want tracking log on Server. 
2] Working Mode i. GPRS Only ii. GPRS or SMS  
Depending upon the selection of working mode, data (location information + alert etc) will be sent to the server. E.g. if working mode is set to GPRS only, then only GPRS channel is used to sent data to the server. Similarly, if SMS only selected, it will use only SMS for sending data to the server. If GPRS & SMS selected, it will check for the GPRS service first, if it is failed to send the data, application will be sending the data using SMS.
3] APN Here you can change the APN (Access Point Number) of your phone’s internet connection from available options as per the Service provider.  
4] Communication Mode
you can select communication channel as UDP or TCP. By default, it will be using UDP for the communication.  
5] UDP Port
This is perticular port no. where tracker device can Communicate with server.
 
6) Avoid Repeat Logs If the devices on same location for long time, then to avoid send repeat logs(through GPRS) these settings set to YES. If we want more precise log then set to NO.

| 07) SMS Settings 1] SMS
Note:- For Track using SMS need to Enableà Time OR Distance Triggering in Trigger settings. & SMSà Enable in SMS settings 
2] Response Target
Here, we can have two options to send SMS 1) Recipient No. 2) Server
 
Using this setting we can send SMS to Recipient Number OR SMS server as per settings.
3] SMS Format Here, we can have two formats, as “Proprietary” and “Human Readable” If SMS FORMAT = “Proprietary” then all the SMS will be get sent to the server i.e. Base phone number One. If SMS FORMAT = “Human Readable” where SMS will be in readable format as “Device Name, Latitude, Longitude, Date time, Location string if any, IMEI number of the device”.  
4] Recipient Number
This is the number where user wants to receive the SMS. This Number is active (or used ) when SMS Setting -> RESPONSE TARGET = Recipient number.  
 
Please enter valid recipient phone no. Otherwise Following message will pop-up till we enter Valid no. 5] Send On Valid Only
If the settings True then if current LAT/LONG is valid then only SMS sent to recipient no. 
6) Avoid Repeat Logs If the devices on same location for long time, then to avoid send repeat logs (through SMS) these settings set to YES. If we want more precise log then set to NO. | | |
| 09) Memory Setting 1] Logging This setting to Enable / Disable logs Logging on Device Memory. 
2] Logs Memory in KB Using this slider provided, user can change the size of log files saved on the memory of the phone. After Selecting Memory it will show pop-up the no. of logs Stored in selected memory capacity.  

3] Logging Frequency
This Option set frequency in seconds, this used to after how much time next log will be logged onto memory.
 
4) Avoid Repeat Logs If the devices on same location for long time, then to avoid save repeat logs into memory these settings set to YES. If we want more precise log then set to NO.

| 10) Sleep Mode Setting: 1] GPS Sleep Mode
If GPS Sleep Mode is Enable, depending upon the GPS Sleep mode Type, it will turn off the GPS receiver and again turn On it.  

Depending on the GPS Sleep mode type, turn OFF event is differs. Once the turn Off event is received, application will wait for GPS ON time interval and then it will turn off the GPS receiver which results in saving the battery consumption. Once GPS receiver is OFF, irrespective of the GPS sleep mode type, it will remain off for GPS Sleep Time Interval duration. Once this interval is elapse, it will again Turn ON the GPS receiver.
2] GPS Sleep mode Type: Here we have two types of modes: i. Normal Sleep Mode ii. Deep Sleep Mode
i. In case of Normal sleep mode, if application did not receive the valid for for GPS on Time interval, then it will entered into the sleep mode by turning off the GPS receiver for GPS Sleep time interval. ii. Whereas, in case of Deep Sleep mode, irrespective of GPS valid/ invalid condition, the application retain the GPS Receiver On for GPS on Time interval and after then it will Turn Off the GPS receiver for GPS Sleep time interval.
 
3] GPS On Time Interval  
Duration for which GPS reciever kept ON.
4] GPS Sleep Time Interval
Duration for which GPS reciever kept Sleep/OFF.  
5] Log Sending on Sleep
When application entered into the sleep mode, it is obvious that application will not get any Valid GPS data, so there is no need send the data to the server. So we can turn the Data sending off by disabling this setting. If it is enable, we can application will send data to the server as per the Working mode and frequency defined in the Tracking setting and GPRS or SMS setting. 
6] Wake up on Cell Change With this option, If it set Enable then on every cell change GPS made On to take that particular location. This is effective only if Sleep Mode is “Normal Sleep Mode” 
7] Cell Change Duration This time duration is in seconds. If the device detects the GSM Cell is changed, then if it is stable in changed Cell for this particular time interval, then only it is considered as GSM cell has been happened and application will wake up itself if it is in SLEEP Mode. This is alias of Trigger “Setting -> Cell Trigger Duration” parameter.

| 11) Location Name Settings
1] Location Name

Application will retrieve the current location of the device by requesting to the web service. This will required valid GPS coordinate to get the location string. The retrieved location can be seen on the application idle screen. Also one can see the detailed location string by pressing ‘5’ on the application idle screen. If this option is Enable, application will request for the location name from the Web Service. If Disable, application will not send any request for location name.

2] Select Web Service
As per the setting, application will use either Google or proprietary Web service for retrieving the current location name.

If User Select the Propiatery Web Service this will ask for Password . If the Password is Correct then this will give the popup That Valid Password and this will Update the Settings. Otherwise this will Give Pop-Up that inbvalid Password. The proprietery web service is currently unavailable.  
3] URL
URL where Web service is running.
 
If User select Propiatery Web Service he can not modify the URL.

4] Frequency in Min (default 10 mins)
 
This set time interval in Minute after which application will request to the web service for location string.
5] Send Location by SMS(Default = TRUE) With this parameter, we can decide to send the location string in to the SMS. This is effective if SMS sending is Enabled and Response Target is “Server”.

6] Send Location By GPRS (Default = False)
If option is enabled, application will send the logs to the server with location string.

7] Play Location Name
This Option for Enable/Disable Audio play Location name as voice alert on Device.

8] Avoid Repeated Playing : -
If This Option Yes Audio play Location name as voice alert Only Once, Otherwise repeatedly location name played till user in same location.

| 12) E-Mail Setting 1] E-Mail  
Application can send the emails containing the .kml file which can be opened on the google Earth directly to see the Device track. To use this feature, one needs to configure the MAILBOX of the default messaging option of phone. To see, how to do, visit http://gps-tracking.gpsintegrated.com/Products/MobilephoneSmartphoneTracking/GPSCellphoneTrackingManual/ConfigureEmail.aspx If Enable, we have to set Valid Email ID then application will send emails. Otherwise Disable Send Email.
2] E-Mail ID (Receiver)
If Email setting is Enable, it will send mails to this Email address.  
If Email ID not Set OR Invalid mail ID set the following message will pop-up respectively.
 
3] Sending Frequency
If Email sending is Enable, it will send the email after every time interval mentioned here.  
4] Logging Frequency
With this parameter, we can select after How much minute, One log can be inserted in to the logging file.  
5] Send On Valid Only |
